KECC identifies vulnerable elderly persons and provides food items, clothing, home visits, and emergency support. Volunteers and church leaders play a key role in identifying beneficiaries.
We work with medical personnel and local health facilities to ensure; Regular medical check-ups, Home-based care, Hygiene &sanitation support and Psychosocial support
KECC is establishing a dedicated Elderly Home to House and Care for the most Vulnerable Older Persons. The Home will include; Medical Facility, Guidance and Counseling Center and Skills-Training Activities
Research and learning center
We provide nursing care, recreation, spiritual services, and community engagement activities to alleviate depression and isolation among the elderly.
The center will provide; Life adaptation sessions, Coping mechanisms, Family and caregiver counseling and Pastoral support
We do Research to expand the knowledge base of Directors, stakeholders,students, and the general public, aiming to identify major factors responsible for the
vulnerability of the elderly and recommend solutions.
KECC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of older persons in Kabale, Rubanda, Kisoro, Rukungiri, Kanungu, and beyond.
